Satellogic is a vertically integrated Earth Observation satellite and data company. We design, manufacture, and operate our own fleet of satellites, the Aleph-1 constellation, which delivers high-frequency, high-resolution imagery plus full-motion video.

About the team
The data product team is responsible for the processing and delivering all the L0 images taken by our satellites. Our mission is to develop a development framework (APIs, tools, libraries, pipeline) to orchestrate, operate and monitor the different image processing pipelines in order to generate different products and metadata to be delivered for our customers. We make sure that all the services are healthy so we can ensure that all the pipelines finish successfully.
The team is always learning and trying to push the limits, relying in part on the large diversity of people’s profiles and backgrounds.
About the position
For this role in the Data Product team, we are looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer with experience in developing and implementing policies for the use of cloud services, and ensuring appropriate availability services, who is always looking to learn about new technologies. In particular this role involves developing internal tools and infrastructure to facilitate measurable high velocity development by other software engineers in the group.
The ideal candidate must be passionate about infrastructure architecture, cloud-native solution design, containers and, above all, developer experience.
Location
Remote work from anywhere between UTC-5 and UTC+3 time zones. Satellogic’s office locations include Buenos Aires, Barcelona, Montevideo, Cordoba (ARG)
Responsibilities
Design and review of architectures, and deployment of services in cloud environments.Evaluation of cloud strategy and platform architecture.Generating scripts and templates required for automatic provisioning of resources, using Infrastructure as CodeEstablishment, maintenance and evolution of continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for existing and new projects.Gathering system requirements, working together with application architects and owners, collaborating with software engineers to enable their applications to run on cloud-native infrastructure.Participate in our on-call rotations required for the support of our constellation and ensure adequate documentation and hand-oversAbout you
Experience
Degree in Computer Science or similar field of study or equivalent work experience.4 + years of experience in cloud engineeringSkills
Deep understanding of containerized solutions and their orchestration, especially using Kubernetes.Proficient knowledge with Helm charts to manage and release of helm packages Worked in public cloud providers like AWS or Azure (ideally certified)Experience in using the ELK Stack Extensive knowledge in docker container-based applicationsMonitoring Complex systems Experience in building internal tools (run-books, APIs, tools, libraries)Experience in DevEx (Easing the Developer activities) Ability to work independently and also to work and collaborate with othersCapacity to learn continuously and passion for pushing the limits.Advanced English proficiency levels.What we value
