Data Scientist

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Data Scientist to join our team of Analytics professionals.

You’ll join a high-performing team that gets continuous training and collaborates on different innovation projects, locally and internationally.

**Role responsibilities**:

- Design and implement Business Intelligence and/or Analytics solutions.
- Understand and analyze the specified requirements and make estimations of time and issues that may arise.
- Suggest improvements or recommend alternatives to the defined requirements (technical or functional) and validate them with the project referents.
- Work closely with the clients’ counterparts, leaning on Intermedia’s project referents.
- Actively collaborate with different teams to develop tasks according to plan.
- Prioritize tasks to continuously produce deliverables for the development team.
- Improve your knowledge and do continuous technical training to adapt to changes and different market needs.
- Promote the team’s technical development. Have initiative and be proactive to suggest ideas and improvements.

**Requirements**:

- Advanced student or graduate of IT careers.
- 5+ years of experience in advisory, delivering Business Intelligence and/or Business Analytics solutions.
- 4+ years of experience in Pentaho (PUC - Pentaho User Console and PDI - Pentaho Data Integration).
- Database architecture and data storage.
- Relational databases queries (Postgre SQL, MySQL, SQL Server).
- Dashboard design, analysis, and implementation.
- Professional English level.
- Proactivity, flexibility, and adaptability to change.

**We value**:

- Experience in data analysis and visualization tools (Power BI, Pentaho, QlikSense, Superset).
- Non-relational databases (MongoDB, ElasticSearch).
- Design and implementation of models for data analysis (descriptive, predictive, prescriptive, etc).
- Knowledge of other Pentaho Suite tools (Schema Workbench, Pentaho Reporting).
- Knowledge of Big Data technologies and platforms.
- Knowledge of data science tools and languages: Python, R.
- Knowledge of machine learning.
- Knowledge of JavaScript.

**Office Hours**:

- Full time availability from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm (We offer flextime).
