**Main Purpose**:Working for the regional Controllers in Trafigura’s regional hubs (Geneva, Houston and LATAM) this role is responsible for the preparation of clean Trial Balances for Trafigura’s Oil & Gas Trading entities and other associated entities. The role supports all aspects of monthly financial and management reporting.

This role will give exposure to a number of different areas in a trading business, as well as the opportunity to liaise with other business departments on an international level
**Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities**:
Knowledge and Skills:

- Qualified Accountant, preferably with first time past
- Minimun 3 years of relevant experience
- Strong academic background
- Highly developed communication skills and experience of operating in an international environment, preferably from working for an international company.
- Team player
- Working experience in auditing in a Big Four is valued
- Familiar with international accounting principles
- Fluent in English/advanced level (is a MUST)

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure accuracy of Local and Group accounting.
- Control accounting movements and balances of PnL and Balance Sheet accounts. Analyze and detect adjustments to guarantee correct accounting exposure.
- Perform revenue recognition checks on trading ledgers to ensure compliance with Oil & Gas accounting policy.
- Keep track of business news in order to understand accounting impact and explain monthly variations.
- Constant coordination and communication with different areas (local team, group controllers, business support/operations, tax, fx risk management, treasury, etc).
- Carry out stock reconciliations between trading systems and warehouse information.
- Reconcile information between the trading systems, local accounting systems and the Group accounting system.
- Work in a fast moving business where inherent risk has to be mitigated by implementing imaginative and effective controls.
- Maintain fixed asset schedules where relevant and ensure these are depreciation in line with Trafigura guidelines.
- Review prepayments and pre-financing balances and ensure these agree to the Finance division.
- Support auditors in annual audits and fiscal information requirements.
