**Our Proposal**

We are looking for a **Director of Engineering** from **Montevideo** to join the team

The person will report to the Head of Engineering and be responsible for **overseeing the development and maintenance of our software products, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and functionality.** This is an excellent opportunity for an **experienced leader** who is passionate about making a difference in the world and looking for a challenging and rewarding role that offers the opportunity to work on innovative software products.

As a key member of our functional leadership team, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a talented group of professionals, including engineers, product managers, and designers. You will play a** crucial role** in driving innovation and growth within our organization, while also helping to build and maintain a positive and collaborative team culture. You will:

- Provide technical leadership for the development of software products, ensuring that they meet high standards of quality, scalability, and performance.
- Work closely with the product management team to prioritize and manage the development roadmap.
- Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and other technical forums to ensure that engineering best practices are followed.
- Manage a team of software engineers, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and advance their careers.
- Work closely with other teams and departments to ensure that software development is aligned with broader organizational goals and objectives.
- Manage multiple projects and priorities, ensuring that software products are delivered on time and within budget.
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes to ensure that software development is aligned with broader organizational goals and objectives.

**It can be a perfect match if you meet**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience in **software engineerin**g, with at least 4 years in a** management role.**:

- Experience with **agile development methodologies** and processes.
- Familiarity with a range of programming languages, such as JS, Python, C#, and similar.
- Experience with **cloud-based platforms **such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with **SaaS** (Software as a Service) products.
- Strong **documentation skills** with the ability to create and maintain technical documentation, project plans, and other related materials.
- Experience with **testing & code quality practices**, such as CI/CD, unit/integration testing.
- Excellent **communication and interpersonal skills** and a proven track record of building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to **motivate and inspire team members**, encouraging them to achieve their goals and develop their skills.
- Experience **managing multiple scrum teams** and an engineering team of 15+
- Advanced **English skills**
