**Description & Qualifications**:
Description

As a Sr. Software Engineering Manager, you’ll initiate and grow Delivery Engineering's automated test governance team. This role will work out of our Montevideo, UY office 3 days/week. You will primarily be the person providing governance leadership around the entire HCM pillar automated tests running as part of Pro Core build and deploy pipeline. We are looking for a Software Engineering Manager who is passionate about the development of engineers, team building, programming, quality, process improvement and truly enjoys what they do. As a Manager Software Engineer. Your team will collaborate with other value-streams assuring tests running in the main build pipeline comply with high quality, stability and performance standards. The team will either coach other test engineers in the product's value-streams in the process of improving these tests, or they will take it on their own to refactor or reengineer the tests.
Your team will also own and improve the analysis and reporting tooling to provide visibility to the value streams to help them understand the state of their test suites.
You will get to work directly with other Developers, Quality Engineers, Business Analysts in a highly collaborative environment.

- Own team processes to increase efficiency. Develop, measure and interpret statistics that serve as indicators of team performance. Use this information to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Set the example and expectations for team conduct. Inspire positive behavior and interactions. When needed, directly address, and resolve, behavior that falls below expectations.
- Expedite project deliverables while maintaining sustainable work pace that does not compromise on standards and quality.

**Qualifications**:
Basic Qualifications:

- 12 years of relevant industry experience, with 5 years of hands-on technical leadership and people management experience (managing teams of 6 or more developers). Large scale systems design experience.
- Experience building and maintaining productive relationships with a diverse array of stakeholders and groups in the organization.
- Experience in Lean-Agile development methodologies such as Kanban or Scrum.
- Experience working in an enterprise-scale SaaS production environment.
- Experience setting and achieving sound goals. For example, “SMART” goal principles or OKRs
- Proven leadership in facilitating complex discussions to achieve goals and solve problems. Proven analytical and decision-making skills.
- Experience working in an enterprise-scale SaaS production environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Passionate about people, process, and technologies and able to inspire and motivate others.
- Strong work ethic with a sense of ownership, urgency, and drive and an unwavering commitment to do the right thing.
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
