Business Intelligence Officer

**Summary**

To develop, deploy and maintain accurate and timely reports and data visualization solutions to support all users in the organisation allowing for effective business management, performance monitoring and decision-making.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Work with stakeholders across departments and divisions to understand business outcomes and using large volumes of data, design, build and deploy reporting solutions (e.g., Microsoft Power Platform & Power BI) that can assist in achieving these outcomes.
- Scope, understand and maintain data structures across business initiatives, automating where possible
- Evaluate and improve existing reporting systems
- Create and maintain BI Data Models (OLAP Cubes & Data Mining Models)
- Directs, organizes, and leads BI Work-Stream projects in the implementation and use of new BI software tools and systems
- Translate business needs to technical specifications and then simplify the technical specifications into reports that users understand.
- Trains users, including executives, to transform data into action-oriented information and to use that information correctly.
- Perform any other necessary tasks as directed.

**Educational Requirements**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology is an essential requirement.
- Experience in the Azure environment
- Proven experience as a BI Developer
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, which will be required in order to understand, document and communicate the needs the user community.
- Exposure to any standard software development methodology is desirable.
- Exposure to any standard ERP software is desirable.
- High level of commitment, motivation and orientation toward user education and support are essential requirements for this position.
