Main Objective:

The Americas Senior Expert Manager role is responsible for leading a team of senior professionals in supply chain operations. The team's functions include transportation, import/export, business experts, supply chain consultants, and data analytics specialists. This position is based in the Americas, with a focus on the US, Mexico, and Brasil. The Senior Expert Manager will report directly to the Supply Chain Services Americas head and be responsible for guiding the team to achieve operational efficiencies, implement digital solutions, and optimize processes to bring savings to BASF.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead a multidisciplinary team to drive supply chain excellence in the Americas region.
  • Encourage innovation and entrepreneurial thinking within the organization by proposing solutions to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives and digital solutions based on benchmarking with other HUBs.
  • Build strong relationships across functions and businesses to drive regional supply chain growth.
  • Guarantee knowledge management across the Supply Chain Services Americas team.
  • Harmonize processes to add value to GB and BUs while bringing savings to the company.

Requirements:

  • Business Management, Engineer, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Projects degree.
  • +5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Projects.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, with advanced skills in both languages.
  • +5 years of experience in continuous improvement and optimization in supply chain and logistics.
  • Leadership experience in operations, supply chain, operations planning, warehouse, and transport.
  • Project management experience in supply chain fields.
  • Desired experience in PMI, PMP, Microsoft Project, PowerBI, Tableu, PowerApps, Power Automate, and Excel.
