Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Software Development Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design, develop, and test software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products, including cloud-based or internet-related tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develops, codes, tests, and debugs new complex software solutions or enhancements to existing products
  2. Designs, plans, develops, and improves applications using routine and advanced technology
  3. Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives and implements strategic policies when selecting methods and techniques
  4. Encourages high coding standards, using best practices and high-quality development methodologies
  5. Regularly interacts with subordinate supervisors, architects, product managers, HR, on matters concerning projects or team performance, requiring the ability to change thinking or gain acceptance from others in sensitive situations without damaging relationships
  6. Provides technical mentorship and cultural/competency-based guidance to teams
  7. Provides larger business/product context, mentors on specific tech stacks/technologies, and ensures smooth transition of knowledge and skills
  8. Requires 4 to 6 years SDET experience, experience working with global teams, and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  9. Designs test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures based on business requirements
  10. Performs functional and regression testing of applications and interfaces to ensure developed products meet design specifications and adhere to product quality standards
  11. Demonstrates solid test automation background, designs, codes, and executes automation using Eclipse/.Net/C#-Selenium/Java/PHP/Cucumber automation tool
  12. Designs, builds, and maintains reliable automation scripts for complex applications spanning desktop, web, mobile, backend, platform, and API gateways
  13. Continuously improves test case coverage by covering E2E, Regression, Negative, and Exploratory Test cases for all features and application functionality
  14. Creates accurate and detailed defect reports when issues are identified
  15. Works with internal and external customers to understand business processes, troubleshoot issues, analyze, and write detailed defects, and provides solutions
  16. Demonstrates the ability to understand and document internal and external processes and workflows where needed
  17. Hands-on experience with Test Management and Defect Management tools like Rally, JIRA
  18. Solid experience testing with desktop, web, and API-based applications
  19. Proven interpersonal, analytical, attention to detail, strategy, and creative problem-solving skills
  20. Excellent written documentation and verbal communication skills
  21. Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and software testing methodology, particularly in an Agile environment
  22. Knowledge of Cloud technologies, preferably GCP
