**What is this position about?**

We are looking for a Data Science Engineer to work alongside a US-based healthcare company that has a strong presence nationwide, with thousands of stores located across the country. The company is dedicated to providing accessible healthcare solutions and promoting overall well-being for its customers. In this role, you will be part of a dynamic and diverse team dedicated to use data analysis and machine learning techniques to extract insights, build predictive models, and develop data-driven solutions.

**What will I be doing?**
- Work with machine learning algorithms, including linear regression and tree-based models, to optimize inventory management processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
- Analyze and preprocess large datasets to extract meaningful insights and patterns related to supply chain optimization.
- Implement and fine-tune predictive models to improve forecasting accuracy and inventory management efficiency.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of models using appropriate performance metrics.
- Investigate and interpret model outputs to provide actionable recommendations for supply chain improvements.
- Continuously research and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and optimization techniques.

**What expertise do I need?**
- Studies in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in SQL
- Experience with Python
- Knowledge of Snowflake and Terradata is a plus
- Experience working with cloud technologies such as GCP
- Familiarity with Data Science and Machine Learning concepts
- Experience with optimization models like linear programming or integer programming is a plus

Excellent written and verbal English for clear and effective communication is a must
