This role is part of the organization´s shared service center.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sourcing Manager to join our Logistics Sourcing team Business Services in Montevideo. As a Sourcing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in implementing the global sourcing strategy in the US and Canada.
As Sourcing Manager - Logistics Americas, you will directly support the sourcing requirements of our sites across Logistics category in full coordination with the global Operations category teams. This position is responsible for leading sourcing initiatives with functional business partners. As a key link between internal stakeholder groups, Procurement, and external suppliers, the Sourcing Manager is accountable for understanding key business drivers and ensuring that stakeholder requirements are fulfilled. You will implement or develop sourcing strategies, standard operating procedures, sustainable cost improvement processes, and transparent cost reporting. You should be experienced in extensive cross-functional collaboration and use of strategic sourcing best practices to maximize value in terms of cost savings/avoidance, demand management, risk reduction, quality and performance, and supplier market innovation. The role holder conducts spend and market analyses, identifies opportunities, develops category strategies, leads cross-functional sourcing teams, negotiates contracts and manages key supplier relationships. The role holder is an energetic, flexible team player capable of forming strong relationships throughout the entire organization, in addition to successfully leveraging resources, processes and tools to achieve desired outcomes.
**You will be mainly responsible for**:
Ensuring appropriate documentation and communication throughout the whole source to contract process until contract signature incl. facilitating the sourcing & contracting steps. Conduct sourcing processes and develop/analyze RfI/RfP/RfQ documents for all transport modes and warehousing. Evaluate and select suppliers through a rigorous assessment process via qualitative and quantitative analysis, considering factors such as financial stability, quality, capacity, and ethical standards such as sustainability. Negotiate conditions and conclude project and framework contracts, considering local legal specifics. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and delivery expectations. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and report on sourcing and procurement performance. Utilize data and analytics to drive decision-making. Stay informed about external/internal marketplace trends, logistics developments, and emerging technologies to make informed decisions and identify potential risks and opportunities and sourcing best practices. Gather and analyze spend, drive cost optimization initiatives through negotiation and continuous analysis of market trends. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and risk mitigation. Oversee the creation, review, and management of procurement contracts e.g., NDAs, CDAs, Local and Framework agreements ensuring they are legally compliant. Assess supplier specific risk and develop mitigation activities. Ensure that activities adhere to local (US and Canadian laws) and international regulations and company policies. Maintain compliance with ethical and sustainability standards incl audit support. Constantly enable and improve the overall process performance. Proposing improvements regarding processes, systems, and work of the team plus active support while implementing those solutions.
**Who you are**:
- More than 10 years of global and intercultural professional experience in procurement for complex logistics projects and/or supply chain roles
- Strong logistics background in/for the US and Canada markets
- Master´s degree in business administrat
