They have recently acquired various other companies and are in the process of unifying tools and processes among their recently bought business units.**PROJECT OVERVIEW**:

- The client is looking to incorporate additional team members to strengthen and enhance their own internal teams for supporting and improving the infrastructure of their main customer portal and the various services offered within it.**We invite you to our company, not a project**

**TEAM**:

- The project teams are small of 4-5 individuals.**POSITION OVERVIEW**:

- We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our client’s team in the delivery of activity that will drive the next phase of their business growth. This role will assist in changing their pipeline and delivery processes from current legacy processes to an automated development and delivery. The aim is to enable them to pipeline our environments from development right through to production with a high degree of automation, resilience, and efficiency.
- A key role of the Senior DevOps Engineer will be to advise on the processes and tools that will be used. For the purposes of understanding they are considering or using today: AWS, GCP, Ansible, Ubuntu, Git, Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, Helm, Boto3, Tomcat, Docker, Kubernetes, Kustomize, ArgoCD, Bitbucket Pipelines, Packer, CloudFormation, Terraform, Vagrant, SonarQube and Nexus.

**TECHNOLOGY STACK**:

- GCP services, microservices, and integrations with various other tools/services.**Responsibilities**
- Automating SaaS workloads across a variety of cloud providers
- Design and implement build, deployment, and configuration management
- Test and improve implemented designs
- Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning
- Handle infrastructure & code deployments in all environments
- Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve in terms of performance and cost
- Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improve development delivery
- Build, maintain, and monitor configuration standards
- Manage CI and CD tools
- Document and design processes; update existing processes
- Work with InfoSec to harden production platforms

**Requirements**:

- Experience in managing Kubernetes/Docker clusters
- Experience with cloud deployment environments such as GCP/AWS/etc.
- Experience with git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, etc.
- Experience with automation/configuration management
- Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration
- Experience in microservice deployment and REST-APIs
- Experience with Elastic Search Administration
- Experience in architecting a highly resilient Elastic Cloud infrastructure and deep-dive knowledge
- in Elastic Search to handle enterprise Production support
- A strong understanding of code and script (PHP, Python, Bash)
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies
- Ability to adapt to changing environments
- Experience in SQL/NoSQL is desired
- Experience working on the data centre to cloud migrations is beneficial
- Experience with GitOps tooling (FluxCD, ArgoCD, JenkinsX) is desirable
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a DevOps role
