**Team Description**:
The Platform and Architecture group is looking for a talented Contributor Software Engineer to join our Connectivity Systems team. Our group supports a number of high-performance systems that are the backbone of sabre’s business. processing an impressive number of transactions per second, our systems are built to support high traffic rates while providing fast response times. These are exciting times for us, as we make progress towards migrating our systems to Google’s cloud platform. if you are curious about high-end technology with an immediate impact on people's lives, we have a place for you
**Key Responsibilities**:
What will you achieve?
- Support all stages of software development including requirements, design, coding, test, delivery, maintenance, and support.
- Triage technical issues and assist with the resolution. Respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
- May assist in development of software technical documentation.
- Provide on demand support to Production systems.

**Job Requirements**:
**'Must have' skills**:
- +3 years of hands-on experience developing backend / middleware systems, using Java language.
- Familiarity with Linux environments and bash scripting (Perl is a plus).
- Solid understanding of Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
**'Nice to have' skills**:
- Working knowledge of distributed cache solutions.
- Experience coding with Core Java (without relying on third party frameworks).
- Working knowledge of message queuing services such as IBM MQ.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform is highly desirable.
- Understanding of regular expressions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
