Description

As a Lead Software Engineer, you’ll be embedded on one of our Compliance development teams. You will be engaged in feature development focused on implementing new US Tax Legislation support within our products. This is a hybrid software/system’s engineer position that has the breadth of knowledge encompassing all aspects of service delivery. You will get to work directly with other Developers, Quality Engineers, Business Analysts, and occasionally our support teams in a highly collaborative environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Extensive experience developing cutting-edge solutions to maximize performance, scalability, and distributed processing capabilities.
- Extensive experience with enterprise-scale OOP software utilizing SaaS design principles.
- Ability to lead technical efforts by coordinating the technical team members to align and ensure the integrity and quality of the final solution.
- Ability to identify and refactor areas of functional and architectural improvement.
- Support services through activities such as observability availability, system health, and incident response.
- Proven experience with SQL and proven mastery of data structures.
- Assist with CI/CD builds and releases of our software and infrastructure, Monitoring and alerting of our production environment.
- Ability to mentor and train new engineers joining the team in technology, tools, procedure, standards, and guidelines for the department
- Proven ability to provide leadership with new development efforts, historical success with contributing to the design and estimation of new features.

**Qualifications**:

- 5+ years’ experience engaging with software/test engineers on enterprise level software development projects.
- 5+ years’ experience with OOP, Data Structures and Algorithms.
- Experience with SaaS (Software as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), and IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) solutions.
- Knowledge of distributed systems, service-oriented architectures, microservice architectures.
- 5+ years’ Experience on the following:.NET (Standard or Core), C#, Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS,
- Experience in one or more of the following are a plus: Python, Delphi, Node.js
- Linux shell experience, Experience with containerization, such as Kubernetes, Docker.
- Experience with the development of API’s, Web Services and Forms development.
- Cloud Experience with Google Cloud and/or other Web Services Platform products.
- Ability to code complex SQL statements.
- Agile or Lean Software Development experience such as Kanban or Scrum.
- Positive team player attitude with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability, and willingness to work evenings / nights, on occasion (Participate in on-call rotation)
- Self-motivation to learn new methodologies that will enhance job performance.
