UPM Paso de los Toros is looking for a **Manager,**Engineering**and Energy**to lead the Mill’s mechanical, civil and electrical engineering works. This strategic role is responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of engineering projects that support the Mill’s operational excellence and long-term development. The position leads a multidisciplinary technical team and collaborates closely with internal stakeholders to drive efficiency and sustainability. The role reports directly to the Mill’s General Manager and is based in **Paso de los Toros, Uruguay**.

**What you will do**
- P lan and oversee the implementation of the m ill ’s engineering projects, capital investments and technical modifications, in close coordination with internal stakeholders
- Manage contractors and external partners involved in project execution, ensuring full compliance with our safety, environmental and technical standards
- Collaborate with Production and R&D teams to enhance the mill ’s c apacity, production efficiency and environmental performance
- Maintain and continuously improve the m ill ’s technical standards and equipment reliability across mechanical, electrical and automation systems
- Coordinate civil works and m ill site maintenance to ensure infrastructure integrity and operational readiness
- Lead, inspire and develop a high-performing engineering team by fostering a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and continuous development

**Who you are**
- You hold university degree in Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in engineering leadership roles ( postgraduate studies and relevant industry experience will be valued)
- You have a strong background in contract management and leading large-scale engineering projects
- You are results-oriented and have excellent planning skills
- You have excellent negotiation and communication skills
- You are proficient in Spanish and English, and able to communicate and negotiate fluently in both languages
- You are advanced user of relevant IT Tools (experience with SAP is a plus)
- You are willing to relocate to Paso de los Toros, Uruguay
