As our new Senior Backend Developer, You’ll be responsible for leading the back-end development team implementing and integrating CMS and other solutions in the cloud for our clients worldwide. We're project-based, so we're always working with someone interesting, be it Adidas, Facebook, Google, Oculus, Netflix, or Diageo.

The Real Opportunity
- Sr. Backend Developers are often playing the role of the Lead Backend Developer on medium to large sized projects at Jam3. As a project lead, you will champion solution implementations, communication and organization, facilitating team interaction through technical expertise and effective communication
- In projects, you'll participate in feature scoping and estimations, as well as delegation and distribution of tasks with the support of your Technical Architect and Technical Director
- As a leader of a development team, you are responsible for managing your own time, directing workflow to your teammates ensuring all deadlines are met and escalating concerns to the Technical Director when necessary
- Review not just your own work but also the output of your team in advance of internal and client milestones
- Communicate technical and project plans and approaches with clients in a clear and concise manner
- Use your experience to recognize system deficiencies and implement/suggest effective solutions for you and your team
- Through various training and learning opportunities, you’ll keep your knowledge sharp, staying up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies
- Take part in research and development initiatives when time permits, with the understanding that the delivery of billable projects take precedence
- You’ll have an opportunity to mentor junior team members and co-op students

Be Prepared to discuss things like:

- Experience using WordPress as a modular, headless CMS solution powering a medium to large scale web destination
- Custom solutions implemented in Wordpress such as plugin development and editor customizations
- Experience and knowledge in database management and migration
- Knowledge of JavaScript, the DOM, CSS, and HTML
- Your opinion on popular frontend frameworks: React.js, Angular, VUE.js
- Your views on open source
