Senior Network Engineer

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Senior Network Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and management of our network, security, and voice infrastructure. This role requires deep hands-on experience with Fortinet solutions (FortiGate, FortiWeb, FortiMail, FortiAnalyzer), network monitoring (PRTG), enterprise WiFi (FortiAP, UniFi), switching (Juniper and Cisco), as well as PBX and SBC systems. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, security, and performance across our data centers and enterprise network, while mentoring junior staff and driving improvements.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage FortiGate firewalls, including advanced security policies, VPN architecture, and threat prevention.
- Oversee FortiMail infrastructure, customize filtering rules, and ensure secure, compliant email delivery and continuity.
- Leverage FortiAnalyzer for deep log analysis, threat correlation, and customized reporting for audits and incident response.
- Design and maintain PRTG monitoring systems, ensuring full network visibility, alerting logic, and performance baselines.
- Lead resolution of complex network issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.
- Supervise datacenter network infrastructure, including structured cabling, rack layout, power planning, and redundancy design.
- Configure and manage Juniper and Cisco switching environments, including Layer 2/3 design, VLANs, routing, and QoS.
- Administer and maintain PBX platforms, including dial plan design, trunk management, and system integration.
- Manage and secure SBCs, define call routing policies, and monitor SIP traffic for performance and security.
- Maintain detailed network documentation, including topology diagrams, configuration standards, and change logs.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for upgrades, integrations, and support escalation.
- Lead scheduled maintenance windows, patch management, and system lifecycle planning for network, voice, and security systems.
Additional Responsibilities
- Any other responsibility established by the manager related to the employee's knowledge and areas of responsibility.
Key Skills and Requirements
- At least 4-7 years of experience in network engineering with a strong background in network infrastructure design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIS, JNCIP, or equivalent would be advantageous.
