Main Objective of the Position:

The purpose of this role is to lead and champion talent attraction and acquisition strategies and services throughout US & CA, aligning with business objectives and priorities in partnership with key stakeholders based in the countries. This role plays a vital role in nurturing BASF with best Talent ensuring synergy with both local and regional demands and priorities. With a service-oriented mindset, the goal is to ensure that every candidate's journey within BASF is exceptional, leaving a lasting positive impression.

 

Education and Qualification Requirements for the Position:

  • Education: University degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology, or related disciplines.
  • Working Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Service delivery in Operational & Leadership Roles, particularly in Talent Acquisition.
  • Language skills: Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Technical & Soft Skills:
    • Talent Acquisition, intermediate ATS handling skills
    • Intermediate skills in Recruitment marketing tools such as Job Boards, Candidate assessments and survey tools
    • Advanced skills in Data- Analytics
    • Intermediate skills in Project Management to oversee recruitment projects effectively.
    • Advances in Negotiation and sales skills to coach the TA team, enabling them to address candidate concerns and effectively communicate job offers and so.
    • Robust leadership, organizational, and strategic thinking abilities.
    • Proven experience in managing and leading diverse teams.
    • Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence at various levels.
    • Exceptional communication skills with a customer-centric focus.
    • Commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and creative problem-solving.
    • Experience with corresponding region culture and projects (highly valued, non-exclusive). 

Main Tasks:

Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor the talent acquisition team to consistently deliver exceptional results and provide a positive candidate experience.
  • Guide the team through leadership, including job assignments, target setting, performance evaluations, and continuous feedback to ensure people development. 
  • Ensure efficient task fulfillment through the management and development of team competencies.
  • Oversee resource planning, including budgeting, and drive hiring initiatives as needed, maintaining transparency in service costs and allocation.
  • Strategize and implement measures to maintain competitiveness and drive service delivery excellence.

 

Process Improvement & Compliance:

  • Develop and execute talent acquisition strategies aligned with BASF NA objectives and growth.
  • Guide and coordinate the Talent Acquisition team by providing support to the team in all aspects of the recruiting process, from sourcing and screening candidates to conducting interviews and making hiring decisions.
  • Initiates and leads internal team projects for the development and optimization of services. Contributes with its own resources to projects of common interest. Enhance the use of digital technologies to improve value creation.
     

Operational focus:

  • Data-Driven Decision-Making: Leverage data and analytics to make decisions, continuously monitor recruitment metrics, and optimize strategies for Talent efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring that our effort is aligned with the business goals.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, hiring managers, BASF HR community (HRBPs, HR leaders, etc.), and business leaders to align hiring initiatives with business goals.
  • Service Mindset: Foster a service-oriented approach, ensuring exceptional service to both internal stakeholders and candidates.
  • Change Management: Drive change and innovation in talent attraction and acquisition processes, adapting to industry trends, and implementing best practices.
