**Role and Responsibilities**

CAE Flight Operations equips aviation professionals with the data needed to make informed decisions and take control of critical tasks.

**The role we are offering you**:
Are you ready to:

- Work under minimum supervision with few direct instructions
- Build and utilize automation tools with respect to the release management process
- Participate in Change, Incident, Problem and Knowledge Management processes as well as on-call support
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and take actions and triage for production systems
- Design and implement improvements to increase stability and uptime in production environments with oversight and support of Integration, Certification and Staging environments
- Assist in the technical coordination between service integrators, vendors and partners
- Manage outages and emergency situations with different Business Units and external providers
- Define, design and implement new and updated hardware and software solutions for development and/or production.
- Propose and implement system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability of systems
- Exercise judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
- Strong attitude towards teamwork, knowledge sharing and documentation.
- BS/BA degree in Computer Science or related field, or commensurate experience required
- Minimum 5 years related experience in Operations or software engineer for software products
- AWS Architect certification is a big plus.
- Deep Terraform and cloud formation knowledge.
- Strong understanding of development languages and scripting including PowerShell
- Windows Services / IIS / MS Clustering experience at admin level.
- Understanding of networking, replication principles, and multi-datacenter operations.
- Zabbix knowledge.
- A strong focus on business outcomes, performance optimization, cost reduction, simplicity in design.
- ITSM knowledge required, ITIL Certifications are a plus
- Oracle knowledge at user level is a plus.
- Knowledge of Agile Methodologies, SCM, and Software Development life-cycle practices are preferred.
- Advanced oral and written communication level in English is a must.
