**Position Summary**:
You will support the safety, health and environment systems for the market ensuring awareness and compliance with local standards and legislation.
**A day in the life of...**:
- Ensure compliance of the entire site to all Nestlé and local standards pertaining to SHE though the performance of compliance evaluations and consultation.
- Revise and develop the safety, health, and environmental policies for the market.
- Inspect and test machinery and equipment, visit worksites to ensure compliance by contractors / employees with SH&E standards and regulations.
- Coordinate the activities necessary to achieve and sustain certification of SHE management systems throughout the site.
- Complete reviews of Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Certifications, and other applicable documentation to ensure compliance of external providers in preparation for projects such as construction, installation, and maintenance.
- Provide advice and consultation in the establishment of the operational safety, health & Risk investments, and operational budgets for the site.
- Conduct audits of high-risk activities to ensure adequate site procedures are in place to minimize specific risks and environmental impacts of the market activities (e.g., hot work permit, risk assessment etc).
- Supervise the investigation of accidents and unsafe working conditions, analyse, and note possible causes and recommend remedial action.
- Conduct and facilitate the provision of training sessions for management, shift leaders, employees, and contractors on the SHE related competencies and legislation.
- Coordinate with external consultants to conduct environmental baseline studies and impact assessment studies for new projects.
- Represent the company and act as a liaison with external stakeholders such as Fire Services, The OSH Authority and Environmental Management Authority.
- And other duties as assigned.
**What will make you successful**:
- You should have a first degree in Occupational Safety, Health & Environment / Environmental Natural Resource Management, or related discipline.
- Knowledge of Problem-Solving Tools, 5 WHY’s, (GSTD)
- Good Knowledge and experience in the field of manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution
