About the Job


The 2D Artist will be responsible for developing high-quality artwork and production-quality game assets for Disney Emoji Blitz. This unique position requires a creative, talented, and motivated individual to collaborate with multiple disciplines to help create content for the hit game Disney Emoji Blitz. The person will create vector assets that help communicate gameplay and continue to grow the Disney Emoji franchise.



Responsibilities


The ideal candidate will:



  • Create concepts and finalize vector assets for characters, FX particles, and props that meet the standards of the brand style guide.
  • Export and implement assets into the game in an optimized manner consistent with the existing production pipeline.
  • Collaborate with internal art, animation, and design disciplines to ensure all assets are meeting designed visual and behavioral expectations in-game.
  • Ensure accurate implementation of assets across multiple devices.
  • Participate in visual critiques and brainstorms.
  • Research industry standards and develop new techniques and workflows.


Requirements


To succeed in this role, you'll need:



  • 2-5 years of production experience on mobile games.
  • Experience with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Solid understanding of art and visual design principles.
  • Attention to detail and ability to solve creative problems.
  • Team player with regular and effective communication skills.
  • Experience with or affinity for Disney/Pixar.
  • Passion for video games.
  • A portfolio of work required.


Nice to Have


We also welcome candidates with:



  • Previous experience with animation motion graphics, and particle effects.
  • Git/Perforce or equivalent source control experience.
  • Experience working in Unity.
