**About the team**
The Satellite Engineering team is accountable for the design and performance of the Satellite and owns the technical roadmap of the spacecraft. We are on a mission to develop Satellites oriented to manufacturability which deliver outstanding quality and are cost effective. Engineering Frameworks and Tools is a team within Satellite Engineering that through Frameworks, Methodology, Systems and Tools provides support to the design and manufacture of Satellites.
Development in Satellite Engineering is cyclical and continuous, and we optimize our Satellites to meet our stakeholders’ specific needs while we push the technology forward. The team works to continuously deliver the best possible product. The team is always learning and trying to push the limits, relying in part on the large diversity of people’s profiles and backgrounds.
**About the position**
As Frameworks Leader you will manage a multi-skilled group of team engineers. You will help them define and maintain the right framework and will guide them to execute the vision defined in the company roadmap.
Through the right tools, processes and implementation best practices you will help us improve the way engineers work in Satellogic. You will help the team to keep processes light and rules simple.
You should be familiar with agile methodologies, especially when applied to both hardware and software development.
As a Frameworks Leader, you will be reporting to the Director of Engineering Frameworks and Tools.
**Location**
Zonamérica, Montevideo (Uruguay).
**Responsibilities**
- Ensure the team establishes processes, practices and required education to provide timely and efficient support to Engineering and Manufacturing Departments.
- Implementing tools such as RMS (Requirement Management System), PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and others to support spacecraft developing and manufacturing.
- Providing assistance, as needed, to departments to create and maintain KPIs that are aligned to Company OKRs.
- Analyzing information and developing more effective or efficient processes and strategies.
- Identifying areas of improvement in processes to develop and manufacture spacecraft prototypes.
- Creating and presenting process improvement reports.
- Troubleshooting and improving of new designing and manufacturing processes.
- Staying up to date with the latest technology and improvement strategies.
**About you**
**Experience**
- Engineering degree in electronics, industrial or mechanical engineering, or related fields.
- 10+ years of experience in a hardware development/assembly engineering team.
- 5+ years of experience as an Engineering Team Leader or equivalent management position.
- Good understanding of agile methodologies and practices.
- Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) experience is a plus.
**Skills**
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Availability to travel approximately 10-20% of the time.
- Good leadership, decision-making, and organization skills.
- Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to learn continuously and passion for pushing the limits.
- Advanced level of English and Spanish.
