Description

UKG is seeking a Associate DevOps Engineer to join our internal engineering operations and support team. In this role, your customers are engineers throughout the rest of the organization. Your responsibilities will vary daily with a constant goal of providing timely, first-class support and environment operations to Engineers as part of an Agile team.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide technical support for all engineering (non-production) environments, infrastructure, and systems including Microservices deployments, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Automate repetitive tasks with scripts, code or tools like Ansible.
- Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to ensure that engineering environments are running effectively at all times
- Follow runbooks and utilize troubleshooting skills to restore service quickly in the event of an outage with a sense of urgency.
- Perform validations after scheduled changes within specified maintenance windows ensuring proper functionality.
- Provide daily support to 1000+ engineering organizations through a support queue following stated SLAs and processes.
- Enhance knowledge base documentation used throughout engineering to allow self-service wherever possible.
- Must be a team player who can mentor other team members, conduct demos, and share knowledge.

**Requirements**:

- Degree related to Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Understanding of software development practices and familiarity with the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies
- Familiarity with configuration management tools, cloud computing platforms, and CI/D tools.
- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g.,Java, Phyton, C#)
- Desire for learning and staying updated with the latest cybersecurity trends, best practices, and technologies is crucial in the ever-evolving field of DevSecOp
