Description
The Sr Payroll Representative performs payroll-related functions, including processing, tax compliance, review of automated timekeeping systems and payroll reporting in a multi-site, multi-state, high-volume environment. The Sr Payroll Representative also provides exceptional customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Requires expertise and extensive knowledge in a variety of work processes or specialized technical area.
- Gathers information to identify and solve problems that arise with little or no precedent; defines and recommends process improvements.
- May act as a lead, coordinating the work of others (but is not a supervisor).
- Works autonomously within established procedures and practices.
- Requires breadth and/or depth of knowledge in a range of processes, procedures and systems (maintains appropriate licenses and/or certifications, as needed).
- Impacts the effectiveness of own team and closely related teams; defines and recommends process improvements
- Evaluates and communicates challenging, sensitive, or advanced technical information
- Will be given a high level of responsibility at an early stage and will gain immediate exposure to our clients to understand the requirements.
- Processing and Managing Global payroll experience is a key requirement for this role. They will have a strong customer service ethic and willingness to take ownership of the customer relationship throughout the engagement, to fully manage the customer requirements resulting in seamless service delivery.
**Qualifications**:
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ Years Experience working within a Payroll, accounting or finance function
- 3+ Years Experience in the area of processing and managing Global payroll. Experience with the LATAM region.
- First-class interpersonal skills coupled with strong influencing abilities.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Mastery of Microsoft Office tools.
- A University degree in a relevant or related field is an advantage but not a requirement.
- Superb client engagement skills and confidence in engaging with and building relationships with all levels of stakeholders.
- Must be motivated, professional, and able to work on own initiative, with the capacity to be a versatile team player - flexible, proactive and pragmatic.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Detail oriented, exhibiting strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Proficient report writing capabilities
- Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems through effective customer service interface and communication
- Excellent attention to detail whilst not losing sight of the big picture.
- Ability to work to pre-agreed deadlines
