As our new AP Specialist you will be a key member of the accounting team, working closely with the Production and Operations teams to manage accounts payables and perform a range of financial and administrative functions as needed. You will have the opportunity to develop your core accounting skills, elevating you to the next career level.

You’ll be responsible for coordination and support to our accounting group as it relates to invoice processing, purchase orders, credit cards, and bank reconciliations. We're project-based, so we're always working with someone interesting, be it Adidas, Facebook, Google, Oculus, Netflix, or Diageo.

**The Real Opportunity**
- Enter bank and credit card transactions on a daily basis and verify against receipts
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
- Enter and review expense reports to ensure company policy compliance
- Create internal PO’s for freelance contracting
- Process freelance and monthly invoices and flag for payment priority
- Close month-end, based on tasks assigned, in a timely manner
- Post adjusting journal entries when necessary
- Maintain financial records digitally
- Perform other related duties as required to ensure efficient and effective functioning of the finance area
- Be an ambassador of Jam3 in and out of the office, with a high level of discretion and confidentiality

**Experience**
- Proficiency in English both written and spoken is necessary for this role
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and Google Spreadsheets
- Working knowledge of bookkeeping software or financial system
- Bookkeeping experience with NetSuite is an asset
- Degree/Diploma in Business or Accounting preferred
- Strong ability to work independently
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Solid time estimation, organization skills and planning skills
- Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions
- Complies with and helps to enforce standard policies and procedures

**Bonus Skills**:

- Proficient in MS Office and/or GSuite
- Working knowledge of NetSuite an asset
- Media and/ or advertising agency experience an asset
- Ability to speak Spanish fluently an asset
