Job Description:
Legal Counsel

Vesta Software Group - Corporate

Located in South America and working closely with Jonas’ General Counsel and CFO, this position involves the negotiation and administration of various contracts, including software license, software maintenance and distribution, sub-contractor, and non-disclosure agreements, assisting with overseeing and resolving contractual disputes and assisting with Jonas’ corporate development program. The role involves customizing existing templates, drafting new agreements to fit project requirements, reviewing and revising contract templates for newly acquired businesses and negotiating the terms of such agreements effectively with customers on behalf of Vestas’ various business units. The position also involves issue-spotting in connection with due diligence exercises and contract reviews. Success in complex licensing negotiations within an information technology environment, and the ability to assess and articulate risks associated with the specifications of client requirements and other business opportunities are essential.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision, the Legal Counsel will undertake the roles and responsibilities of this position in a manner consistent with the company’s procedures and guidelines while exercising independent judgment. The position also requires an articulate, self-motivated individual who possesses strong organizational skills and will pay close attention to detail, has the ability to make high quality decisions, along with excellent interpersonal skills to deal with people at all levels of the company, including salespeople and business managers. Strong verbal and written communications skills are also required in this position.

- In-depth knowledge of software licensing and information technology
- Juris Doctor degree or equivalent
- Fluent in and possess advanced skills in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of business and technology law
