- What you will be doing
- The Country Finance Manager I is responsible for managing accounting operations, overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger entries, Banking, and ensuring Corporate tax compliance. The Country Finance Manager I is responsible for or directs the preparation of financial statements for daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. They will be responsible for internal financial controls and accounting audits and act as a liaison with Regional Finance manager or Business Unit finance staff.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Oversee AR & AP with all connected reconciliations within the country they support.
2. Complete monthly, quarterly, yearly internal and statutory reporting US-GAAP and local GAAP.
3. Process manual JE (accrual, payroll etc.), Fixed Assets, Tax declaration where applicable, and B/S reconciliations.
4. Supporting and monitoring of World Courier policies and procedures for any Finance team members within their country.
5. Support and prepare the investment approval process for smaller items - CER
6. Support and prepare the annual Budget for the country in which they support.
7. Act as country’s main contact and support for internal/external Audits related to Finance.
8. Oversee external accounting company, if applicable.
9. Process payroll, if applicable.
What your background should look like
- EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Certificate level qualification in Finance
2. Relevant booking skills /experience
3. Fluent in English
4. Experience with ERP systems
5. 2-3 years of professional experience
REPORTS DIRECTLY TO:
Regional Finance Director
MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
1. Strong accuracy and attention to detail
2. Solid time management and organizational skills
3. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
