Supply Chain Regional Planner

This position is part of Abbott's Established Pharmaceuticals Division, working out of our Zonamerica offices. Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain valid replenishment plans for assigned Third Party or Internal manufacturing sites and second-tier suppliers, aligned with business strategies, financial plans, capacity constraints, and target inventory profiles.
- Build and manage a resilient supply chain network that acts as a shock-absorber for fluctuations in demand and supply, focusing on optimizing inventory levels and identifying, assessing, and mitigating supply risks.
- Coordinate New Product Introductions and Label changes for assigned suppliers, ensuring close collaboration and communication with manufacturing sites, affiliates, and demand management teams.
- Proactively avoid product backorders, develop action plans, and provide monthly Replenishment forecasts to assigned suppliers, in line with contracts and Master Service Agreements.
- Manage shortages of supplies, provide business impact and mitigation scenarios, and ensure close collaboration with manufacturing sites to achieve alignment on supply chain topics.
- Issue on-time Purchase Orders to assigned suppliers, maintain PO portfolios, and provide Last Best Estimates for assigned product portfolios.
- Measure Supplier Performance, report results, and provide appropriate Corrective Action Plans in case of performance below target.
- Maintain Service Level Agreements with supply chain partners, provide proactive information about supply and shipment changes, and coordinate action plans to align demand and supply.
- Develop and implement inventory strategies in line with overall divisional targets, providing inventory projections and managing slow or non-moving inventory to avoid obsolescence.
- Create and maintain planning parameters in SAP to ensure optimal replenishment plans, and provide Master Data input for new material creations and vendor setup and maintenance.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, manufacturing plants, and regional counterparts, ensuring compliance with local and Abbott quality, financial, and regulatory rules, policies, and procedures.
- Supply Chain Management, Production Operations Management, Logistics Management, or Business Administration degree, or equivalent by experience.
- 5 years' experience in Supply Chain environment and 2 years' experience in demand/supply planning, preferably in Pharma business.
- Strong communication skills (English, written and oral) and ability to work cross-functionally in an international environment.
- Good SAP ECC/APO or similar system skills, and a good foundation in Basics of Supply Chain management.
- Preferred experience with inventory management and cost-saving projects, strong analytical skills, and ability to use good judgment to make sound decisions.
- Innovation and initiative are required to identify and implement business process improvements, and adaptability to maintain the ability to be flexible in an ever-changing and challenging environment.
