Montevideo- Remote.Brazil- Remote.LATAM- Small team (1-10 people)- Position overviewWe are seeking a Business Analyst with travel domain experience to join our project team.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, document, model, and manage requirements through the full project lifecycle
- Write user stories and acceptance criteria in BDD format
- Take an active part in daily communications with stakeholders and other teams representatives
- Collect business requirements so as to formulate the problems to solve
- Collect and analyze data from various sources to form functional and non-functional requirements
- Create detailed requirements for a development team to implement
- Conduct business data analysis
- Setup requirement management process
- Run initial project phases: pre-sales, discovery, solution design
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience working as a business analyst
- Experience in the travel industry, specifically knowledge of GDS (mandatory)
- Basic theoretical knowledge of business analysis and requirements engineering
- Familiarity with REST API and data protocols/format (JSON, XML)
- Understanding of basic software architecture layers (database, server, client)
- Skills in analyzing, documenting, and modeling requirements
- Skills in managing requirements throughout the project, knowledge of the main models of the project’s life cycle
- Ability to skillfully convert vague and unstructured information into distinct requirements
- Experience in supporting sales during the RFI/RFP stage and discovery phase
- Experience with SCRUM/Agile development methodologies, ability to iterate quickly
- Personal discipline and experience with distributed teams
- Understanding business needs
- Good written and spoken English
Nice to have
- Experience in developing drafts of user interfaces
- Business processes modeling, knowledge of notations and methodologies
- Professional certification (CCBA, CBAP - IIBA, PMI-PBA - PMI, CPRE - IREB)
